The Cleantech Alliance Mid-Atlantic supports and brings together clean energy businesses in Philadelphiaand the surrounding mid-Atlantic region. The Alliance provides a middle ground through which businesses can connect, form relationships, and share ideas, and is specifically aimed at businesses involved in clean and alternative energy technology and research.
Since 2008 it has been uniting all types of professionals from different areas within the industry, originally operating under the name Renewable Energy Business Network (Mid-Atlantic). Today, the Alliance is working toward a goal of moving ahead innovations in the clean and alternative energy industries through the platform for professional collaboration that it provides.
Networking opportunities through the Alliance are available in the form of events, which include:
• Investor forums
• Social networking events
• Company showcases
• An interactive website for participating companies Some of the biggest events are the investment forums, which have occurred annually for the past three years. The forums bring in investors, entrepreneurs, and government and service providers. The events include a keynote speaker, an investment panel, and a cleantech company showcase to provide further information in a shifting and changing industry. This past March was the 3rd Annual Investment Forum featuring keynote speaker Mark Fulton of Deutsche Bank Climate Change Advisors.
